I have 160 remote 2003 severs all configured the same and all broken up into 10 backup policies that are setup the same.
Change journal, accelerater, Client side Dedup and Multi streaming are enabled. Everything else is default under a standard windows policy.
I have one of those 160 client that starting last week after i upgraded to 7.6.0.1 (i really dont think this has anything to do with it) has consistenly failed with status 13:
1/15/2014 12:02:58 PM - Info bpbrm(pid=996) Starting create snapshot processing
1/15/2014 12:03:06 PM - Error bpbrm(pid=996) socket read failed: errno = 104 - Connection reset by peer
1/15/2014 12:03:06 PM - Info bpfis(pid=0) done. status: 13: file read failed
I enabled all verbose logging, checked that everything was resolving properly and completly deleted and reinstalled 7.6.0.1 on the client. Still I cant seem to find a direct answer as to what is causing this.
Just a few mintues ago i decided to take off multistreaming and I recieved a different error message.
1/15/2014 12:07:25 PM - Info nbu01(pid=1522) Using OpenStorage client direct to backup from client c005fil01.com to nbu01
1/15/2014 12:07:43 PM - Critical bptm(pid=1522) image open failed: error 2060016: operation not supported
1/15/2014 12:07:44 PM - Info bptm(pid=1522) EXITING with status 83 <----------
1/15/2014 12:07:46 PM - Info bpbkar(pid=2880) done. status: 83: media open error
Then i decided to remove the client side dedup and now the backup is running successfully.
Can anyone explain what could be the root cause of this and might have some suggestions of how I might be able to correct it?
Thanks.
